Plaza Huincul adalah sebuah kota kecil di provinsi Neuquen, dengan populasi sekitar 13.000 orang, yang terletak di Argentina barat daya.[1] Kota tersebut berjarak sekitar 1,288 km (0,800 mi) dari barat daya ibukota, Buenos Aires.[2] Plaza Huincul terletak di tengah gurun dan berkembang karena penemuan minyak di wilayah tersebut pada 1918. Wilayah sekitar kota tersebut menyimpan fosil holotipe dari beberapa spesies dinosaurus terbesar yang ditemukan, seperti Argentinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, dan Mapusaurus.
