Pleshet adalah nama Ibrani untuk apa yang orang lain sebut sebagai "tanah bangsa Filistin" menurut Perjanjian Lama (Kejadian 21:32, Keluaran 13:17, 1 Samuel 27:1, Yoel 3:4).[1]
Istilah tersebut merujuk kepada wilayah pesisir yang terbentang dari Gaza di selatan sampai Ashdod di utara. Lima kota utama dari bangsa Filistijn pada masa Raja-Raja Israel adalah Gaza, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Ekron, dan Gath.
