Poet laureate
Poet laureate (jamak: poets laureate) adalah seorang penyair yang resmi ditunjuk oleh pemerintah atau lembaga terkait, yang sering kali diminta untuk membuat puisi untuk acara-acara khusus. Albertino Mussato dan Francesco Petrarca asal Italia adalah orang pertama yang dimahkotai menjadi poets laureate setelah zaman klasik, masing-masing pada 1315 dan 1342.[1]
