Pulau Leyte adalah sebuah pulau di Filipina bagian timur, dikelompokkan dalam wilayah Visayas. Luasnya adalah 7.214 km² dan pada tahun 2000 pulau ini dihuni oleh lebih dari 1,5 juta jiwa. Banyak dari wilayah pulau ini merupakan hutan dan pegunungan, tetapi di Lembah Leyte di sebelah timur laut terdapat kegiatan cocok tanam. Pulau ini dibagi kepada dua provinsi: Southern Leyte (Leyte Selatan) dan Provinsi Leyte.
Leyte paling terkenal sebagai tempat berlangsungnya Pertempuran Teluk Leyte pada masa Perang Dunia II. Pertempuran ini merupakan pertempuran laut terbesar dalam sejarah dan memainkan peranan penting dalam perebutan kembali Filipina dari Jepang oleh pasukan Sekutu pada masa perang tersebut.
