Puntarenas adalah ibu kota dan kota terbesar Provinis Puntarenas di Kosta Rika. Pelabuhannya, Caldera, adalah salah satu pelabuhan utama Kosta Rika. Kota ini memiliki populasi sebesar 102.504 jiwa pada tahun 2000.
