Quetzalcōātl
Quetzalcōātl (diucapkan [ketsalˈkoːaːtɬ] dalam Nahuatl) adalah dewa pencipta dan langit Aztek. Namanya adalah gabungan dari kata quetzal, burung Mesoamerika berwarna cerah, dan coatl, berarti ular. Quetzalcōātl sering dirujuk sebagai Ular Bersayap dan berhubungan dengan planet Venus. Kini, Quetzalcōātl adalah dewa Aztek yang paling terkenal, dan sering dianggap sebagai kepala dewa Aztek. Namun, Quetzalcōātl hanya satu di antara dewa-dewa Aztek lain, tidak dianggap lebih besar dari yang lainnya.[1]
