Rasmus Jonassen Sørnes (22 Maret 1893 – 15 Februari 1967), adalah seorang penemu, pembuat jam, dan teknisi radio asal Norwegia. Dia dikenal dengan jam astronomi buatannya, yang memiliki tingkat keakuratan tinggi. Jam tersebut memiliki ketidakakuratan 7 detik dalam jangka waktu 1000 tahun.[1] Selama masa hidupnya, Sørnes juga merancang dan membangun berbagai macam peralatan pertanian, radio-teknis dan mekanik, hanya beberapa di antaranya yang dipatenkan.[2]
