Richard Shelby
Richard Craig Shelby (lahir 6 Mei 1934) adalah seorang pengacara dan politikus Amerika Serikat yang menjabat sebagai Senator Amerika Serikat dari Alabama dari 1987 sampai 2023. Mula-mula terpilih dalam Senat AS pada 1986 sebagai anggota Partai Demokrat, Shelby berpindah ke Partai Republik pada 1994. Shelby menjadi Ketua Senate Appropriations Committee, menggantikan Thad Cochran. Ia sebelumnya menjabat sebagai Ketua U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs dan Senate Committee on Rules and Administration. Ia merupakan Senator AS dengan masa jabatan terlama dari Alabama, melampaui rekor sebelumnya yang dipegang oleh John Sparkman pada Maret 2019.[1]
