Rithy Panh (bahasa Khmer: ប៉ាន់ រិទ្ធី; kelahiran 18 April 1964) adalah seorang sutradara dan penulis latar dokumenter Kamboja.
Film-film karya sutradara yang disekolahkan di Prancis tersebut berfokus pada akibat genosida rezim Khmer Merah di Kamboja.
Biografi
Kehidupan awal, melarikan diri dari Kamboja
Rithy Panh lahir di Phnom Penh. Ayahnya adalah seorang guru dan inspektur sekolah dasar.[2]
Keluarganya dan penduduk lainnya diusir dari ibu kota Kamboja pada 1975 oleh Khmer Merah. Keluarga Rithy selamat dari rezim tersebut, dan setelah ia ditinggalkan orangtuanya, saudara-saudaranya, dan kerabat-kerabat lainnya yang meninggal karena terlalu kebanyakan bekerja atau malagizi, Rithy melarikan diri ke Thailand pada 1979,[3] dimana ia tinggal selama suatu waktu di sebuah kamp pengungsian di Mairut.[2]
