Robert of St. Albans (meninggal pada 1887)[1] adalah seorang Kesatria Haikal Inggris yang pindah agama dari Kristen ke Islam pada 1185.[2] Pada 1187, ia memimpin pasukan Salahuddin Ayyubi[3] melawan Tentara Salib selama Pertempuran Hattin serta penaklukan kembali Yerusalem, yang saat itu berada di bawah kendali kaum Franka.[4]

Robert kemudian menikahi keponakan Salahuddin,[1] tetapi ia terbunuh tak lama setelah itu di luar Yerusalem. Disebutkan bahwa: "Ia menghancurkan wilayah sekitar Nablus dan dibunuh di luar Yerusalem pada 1187."[5]

Perpindahan agama Robert ke Islam telah menyebabkan kekecewaan yang signifikan di antara orang-orang Kristen dan memicu perasaan sakit hati terhadap Kesatria Haikal secara umum.[6]
