Romy kembali diajak Pelatih Persegres Gresik United, Liestiadi untuk kembali memperkuat klub yang akan dipersiapkan untuk menjalani Indonesia Soccer Championship A.[2]
Romy merasakan debut musim 2016 di pekan pertama saat Persegres Gresik United dijamu Persela Lamongan. Ia juga bermain ketika Persegres Gresik United melawan Arema Cronus FC.[3]
