Balaenopteridae atau paus rorkual adalah famili paus balin terbesar dengan dua spesies yang masih ada dalam dua genera. Pada grup ini juga terdapat binatang terbesar di dunia, paus biru yang beratnya mencapai 150 ton dan dua lainnya yang melewati 50 ton; bahkan paus terkecil di grup ini, paus Minke utara mencapai 9 ton.
