Rudolf Schuster (lahir 4 Januari 1934) adalah Presiden Slowakia kedua (1999-2004). Keluarga ayahnya berasal dari bangsa Jerman Karpatia sementara ibunya adalah etnis Hongaris. Ia dipilih pada 29 Mei 1999 dan dilantik 15 Juni 1999. Schuster dicalonkan dalam pemilu presiden April 2004 untuk maju sebagai kandidat independen. Ia meraih 7.4% suara pemilih, selisih tiga suara dari calon (Ivan Gašparovič, Vladimír Mečiar dan Eduard Kukan) yang bersaing. Ia kemudian digantikan Ivan Gašparovič.^[1]

Pada 1964—1990, Schuster menjadi anggota Partai Komunis Slowakia. Sebelum menjadi presiden, ia menjabat wali kota (bahasa Slowakia: primátor ) Košice pada 1983—1986 dan kemudian 1994—1999. Ia juga presiden Komunis terakhir dari Dewan Nasional Slovak (1989—1990), Duta Besar Cekoslowakia di Kanada (1990—1992), dan ketua Party of Civic Understanding (SOP - Strana občianskeho porozumenia, 1998—1999).

Selain bahasa Slowakia, ia juga mahir berbahasa Ceko, Jerman, Rusia, Inggris, dan Hungaria.
