SMP Negeri 6 Blitar adalah sebuah sekolah menengah pertama di Kota Blitar, Jawa Timur. Sekolah ini terletak di Jl. Sudanco Supriyadi 21 Kel.Bendogerit Kec.Sanan Wetan dan menempati gedung belanda dan satu komplek dengan SMK Negeri 3 Blitar, SMP Negeri 3 Blitar dan SMP Negeri 5 Blitar
Sejarah
Sekolah yang dulunya bekas HIS ini sempat menjadi satu-satunya sekolah menengah di Blitar dengan nama Sekolah Menengah Blitar hingga SMA Negeri Blitar didirikan pada tahun 1955. Tanggal pasti pendirian sekolah ini sulit dilacak karena arsip yang berkaitan dengan data tersebut sudah banyak yang hilang. Pada akhirnya, tanggal 19 Agustus 1946 ditetapkan sebagai hari jadi setelah ditemukan rapor atas nama Moesri yang dianggap sebagai lulusan generasi pertama Sekolah Menengah Blitar pasca-kemerdekaan.
