Salientia (Latin salire, salio berarti "melompat") adalah sebuah kelompok total amfibi yang mencakup ordo Anura, katak dan kodok, dan berbagai hewan proto-katak punah yang berkerabat lebih dekat ke katak daripada Urodela, yaitu salamander dan kadal air.[1] Fosil "proto-katak" tertua muncul pada periode Trias Awal di Madagaskar, tetapi penanggalan jam molekuler menyarankan bahwa asal-usulnya dapat ditarik balik lebih jauh sampai ke periode Perem, 265 juta tahun lalu.
