Seamus Justin Heaney (13 April 1939 – 30 Agustus 2013) adalah seorang penyair Irlandia dan pemenang Nobel Sastra.
Merupakan anak tertua dari 9 bersaudara, ia besar bersama paman dan bibinya. Pada tahun 1963 ia mengajar di St. Joseph's College, Belfast.
Atas petunjuk Philip Hobsbaum (1932- ), ia masuk ke sebuah komunitas penyair, yang di situ ia mulai menulis karya. Dengan nama samaran Incertus ia menerbitkan karya-karyanya di majalah universitas itu. Pada tahun 1966 ia menulis karya pertamanya, Death of a Naturalist, yang mengantarkannya menerima E.C. Gregory Award, de Cholmondeley Award (1976), Somerset Maugham Award (1968) dan Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize (1968).
Karyanya sudah ratusan kali diterbitkan. Karyanya yang ke-2, Door into the Dark (1969), terpilih ke Poetry Book Society.
Pada tahun 1995 Heaney dianugerahi Nobel Sastra.
