Search for extraterrestrial intelligence
SETI (singkatan dari Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) adalah nama dari sekelompok usaha terorganisir untuk mendeteksi kehidupan ekstraterestrial. Sejumlah usaha yang tergabung dalam "SETI" diorganisir dan didanai oleh pemerintah Amerika Serikat. Pendekatan umum yang dilakukan oleh proyek SETI adalah dengan menyurvei angkasa untuk mendeteksi keberadaan komunikasi antar-bintang dari sebuah peradaban.
