Si Singa Penakut (Inggris: The Cowardly Lion) adalah salah satu tokoh dalam negeri fiksi Land of Oz yang diciptakan oleh penulis Amerika L. Frank Baum.[1] Ia digambarkan sebagai seekor singa Afrika, dan seperti semua hewan di Oz, ia dapat berbicara.
Meskipun sering meragukan dirinya sendiri, Si Singa Penakut kerap menunjukkan keberanian ketika menghadapi bahaya. Karena singa dianggap sebagai “Raja Segala Binatang”, ia khawatir rasa takut yang dimilikinya membuatnya tidak layak, tanpa menyadari bahwa keberanian bukan berarti tidak memiliki rasa takut, melainkan bertindak meski rasa takut itu ada. Rasa takutnya mereda hanya setelah menerima hadiah dari Sang Penyihir, berupa cairan yang diperintahkan untuk diminumnya. Ia berpendapat bahwa keberanian yang diberikan oleh Sang Penyihir itu hanya bersifat sementara, meskipun ia tetap melakukan berbagai tindakan berani.
