Silicon Alley
Silicon Alley adalah julukan untuk wilayah dengan konsentrasi tinggi perusahaan Internet dan media baru di Manhattan, New York City. Awalnya istilah ini merujuk pada kumpulan perusahaan TI yang memanjang dari Flatiron District ke SoHo dan TriBeCa sepanjang koridor Broadway, tetapi karena lokasi perusahaan-perusahaan ini menyebar, sebutan ini menjadi umum merujuk industri dot com di New York City sebagai keseluruhan.
Istilah ini umum digunakan pada akhir 1990-an, ketika perusahaan seperti Agency.com, Razorfish, Medscape, inet-d dan The Mining Company (sekarang About.com) menjadi kisah sukses dengan pembelian swasta atau IPO yang berhasil.
Namanya berasal dari Silicon Valley, California.
