Bubuk sindur

Sindur atau sinduram adalah bubuk kosmetik tradisional berwarna merah murup atau jingga dari Anak benua India, biasanya digunakan oleh perempuan yang sudah menikah di sekitar kepala dan rambut.[1] Umat Hindu terutama di India menggunakan sindur sebagai penanda pernikahan, di mana penghentian penggunaan sindur menandakan berakhirnya pernikahan. Bahan tradisional utama dari sindur berasal dari sinabar, kunyit dan kapur.[2][3] Sebagian produk sindur komersial mengandung bahan sintesis yang kadang tidak dibuat menurut standar yang benar dan mungkin mengandung timbal.[4][5]
