Soft grunge

Soft grunge adalah tren busana yang berasal dari Tumblr sekitar akhir 2000-an dan awal 2010-an, secara longgar dipengaruhi oleh busana grunge dan gaya busana 1990-an lainnya.

Sejarah

Gaya busana berasal dari platform media sosial Tumblr. Penulis Alternative Press Marian Phillips mengutip Sky Ferreira sebagai "sebagian besar mempopulerkan" gaya ini mulai tahun 2009.[1]

Majalah i-D menyebutkan bahwa gaya tersebut berpengaruh pada gaya busana e-girl dan VSCO, yang berasal dari akhir 2010-an.[2][3]

Busana

Soft grunge mengklaim dipengaruhi oleh gaya busana 1990-an,[4] khususnya busana grunge. Namun, sementara grunge di tahun 1990-an ditandai dengan sikap anti-busana dan penampilan yang tidak terawat, soft grunge adalah feminin, glamor dan rapi. Ini memiliki sedikit hubungan dengan subkultur Grunge.[5]

Pakaian soft grunge sering kali meliputi: penggunaan kancing dan paku, sepatu skate Vans, sepatu platform,[4] pola bunga, kemeja flanel,[6] jeans robek,[7] mahkota bunga,[8] dan rok tenis. Ini sering menggunakan warna-warna pastel, terutama merah muda dan biru.[1] Rambut juga sering diwarnai.[9]
