Stephen R. Covey (24 Oktober 1932 – 16 Juli 2012) adalah seorang penulis asal Amerika Serikat yang menulis buku laris, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Buku-buku lain yang pernah ditulisnya termasuk First Things First, Principle-Centered Leadership, dan The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Families. Pada 2004, Covey menerbitkan, The 8th Habit. Pada 2008, Covey menerbitkan The Leader In Me -- How Schools and Parents Around the World Are Inspiring Greatness, One Child at a Time

Covey tinggal bersama istrinya Sandra dan keluarga mereka di Provo, Utah. Di sini pula terletak Universitas Brigham Young, tempat Dr. Covey mengajar sebelum ia menerbitkan buku larisnya. Ia mempunyai 9 orang anak dan 49 cucu dari istrinya. Ia memperoleh Penghargaan Untuk Seorang Ayah dari National Fatherhood Initiative pada 2003.

Covey mendirikan "Pusat Kepemimpinan Covey" yang, pada 1997, bergabung dengan Franklin Quest untuk mendirikan FranklinCovey, sebuah perusahaan pelayanan profesional global. Mereka menawarkan pelatihan dan perangkat produktivitas bagi berbagai individu dan organisasi.
