Arem adalah suku bangsa berbahasa Vietik yang kecil, sulit dijamah, dan terancam punah, menghuni Vietnam dan Laos, penduduk asli pegunungan di provinsi Quảng Bình, Vietnam tengah dan provinsi Khammouan, Laos.[1] Autonim lain untuk mereka adalah Umo, Chmbrau atau Chmrau, yang merupakan ekspresi Katuik untuk "pemburu-pengumpul."[2] Di Vietnam, mereka dianggap sebagai sub-suku bangsa Chứt.[3][4]
