Sulam kedut
Sulam kedut adalah teknik menyulam yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan kain agar dapat meregang. Sebelum bahan elastis, sulam kedut biasanya digunakan pada manset, korset, dan garis leher pada pakaian yang kancingnya tidak diinginkan. Sulam kedut dikembangkan di Inggris dan telah dipraktikkan sejak Abad Pertengahan dan merupakan metode bordir yang tidak biasa karena sering dipakai oleh para pekerja. Gaya sulaman utama lainnya murni dekoratif dan mewakili simbol status.[1] Sulam kedut digunakan paling luas pada abad kedelapan belas dan kesembilan belas. [2]
