Svein Aasmundstad (13 Januari 1935 – 10 April 2012) adalah seorang pegawai negeri Norwegia.
Ia lahir di Trondheim, dan lulus sebagai cand.jur. Ia bekerja sebagai Direktur Keuangan di kotamadya Trondheim dari tahun 1973 sampai 1976, dan sebagai kepala administrasi di daerah Oppland dari tahun 1976 sampai 1987, hanya diselingi oleh masa jabatan sebagai Sekretaris Negara (Norwegia) di Kementerian Transportasi dari tahun 1979 pada masa Kabinet Nordli. Ia ditunjuk sebagai direktur pertama Otoritas Pengawas Keuangan Norwegia pada tahun 1987, dan menjabat hingga tahun 1992. Dari tahun 1994 hingga 1995 ia menjadi direktur pelaksana NAVO[1] (saat ini dikenal dengan nama Arbeidsgiverforeningen Spekter).
