Sydney William Carline (14 Agustus 1888 – 14 Februari 1929) adalah seorang seniman dan guru Inggris yang dikenal karena penggambarannya tentang pertempuran udara yang dilukis selama Perang Dunia Pertama.[1]
Biografi
Sydney Carline lahir di London, putra dari artis George Francis Carline dan Annie Smith (1862–1945). Saudara laki-lakinya, Richard Carline dan saudara perempuannya Hilda juga adalah seniman, begitu pula saudara iparnya, Nancy (née Higgins), dan saudara laki-lakinya- mertua, Stanley Spencer.[2] Sydney Carline dididik di Repton School sebelum ia belajar di Slade School of Art, antara tahun 1907 dan 1910, dan kemudian di Paris. Pada tahun 1914 ia menghabiskan waktu melukis di Westmoreland.
