Tanah padat

Reruntuhan mercusuar dinasti Han (202 SM - 220 M) Tiongkok yang terbuat dari tanah yang ditampatkan di Dunhuang, Provinsi Gansu, Tiongkok di ujung timur Jalur Sutra.

Tanah tumpat, juga disebut sebagai taipa[1] dalam bahasa Portugis, tapial atau tapia dalam bahasa Spanyol, pisé (de terre) dalam bahasa Prancis, dan hangtu (Hanzi: 夯土; Pinyin: hāngtǔ), adalah sebuah teknik untuk membangun fondasi, lantai dan tembok memakai bahan-bahan mentah alami seperti tanah, kapur, gamping dan kerikil.[2] Tanah yang dimampatkan dapat dilakukan di setiap benua kecuali Antarktika.[3]
