Tanda tashil


Tanda tashil adalah antara tanda-tanda bacaan khusus yang ada di dalam al-Quran mashaf Utsmani. Tanda ini memiliki bentuk seperti bulat kubik ( ۬ ) dan hadir satu kali saja dalam al-Quran, yaitu dalam Surah Fussilat ayat 44[1] pada perkataan:

ءَا۬عْجَمِىٌّ

Suara tashil yang dihasilkan saat mengaji adalah suara pertengahan di antara huruf alif (ا) dan huruf hamzah (ء).
