Tanket

Tanket adalah sejenis kendaraan tempur lapis baja dengan roda berantai dan persenjataan ringan[1] menyerupai tank tetapi seukuran sebuah mobil, utamanya digunakan sebagai dukungan satuan infantri kecil atau tugas-tugas pengintaian.[2][3] Secara bahasa tanket dapat diartikan sebagai "tank kecil".[4]

Tanket didesain dan dibuat oleh beberapa negara antara 1920-an dan 1940-an, dan terlibat dalam beberapa pertempuran (dengan keberhasilan kecil) dalam Perang Dunia II. Lapisan bajanya yang tipis membuatnya mudah diserang oleh senjata anti-tank sehingga konsep kendaraan tempur ini kemudian diabaikan.
