Teater Parsi
Teater Parsi adalah sebuah istilah umum untuk sebuah tradisi teater berpengaruh, yang dipentaskan oleh orang Parsi, dan perusahaan teater yang sebagian besar dimiliki oleh komunitas bisnis Parsi, yang berkembang antara tahun 1850 dan 1930-an.[1] Pementasan drama utamanya menggunakan bahasa Hindustan (terutama dialek Urdu), serta bahasa Gujarat untuk sebuah tingkatan tertentu. Setelah dimulai di Bombay, teater Parsi segera berkembang menjadi berbagai perusahaan teater keliling, yang melakukan tur ke seluruh India, terutama India utara dan barat (sekarang Gujarat dan Maharashtra), untuk mempopulerkan teater bergaya prosenium dalam bahasa-bahasa daerah.
