Telerobotika

Telerobotika dapat digunakan dalam misi penjelajahan luar angkasa.

Telerobotika adalah bidang robotika yang menyangkut sebuah alat atau mesin otomatis (sebuah robot) yang dikendalikan dari jarak jauh melalui perantara komputer. Mesin seperti ini disebut telerobot. Seperti layaknya robot, telerobot memiliki sensor untuk mengolah sinyal dari lingkungan, serta mampu bergerak dan melakukan tugasnya secara mandiri. Sebagai tambahan, telerobot juga dapat berkomunikasi dengan pengendalinya, termasuk untuk menyampaikan rencana dan tujuannya, kesulitan yang dihadapi, atau (jika diminta) data sensor mentah.[1]
