Kehidupan dan karier
Kurtzman lahir dan dibesarkan di Los Angeles, California,[1] di mana ia bertemu teman SMA dan kolaborator jangka panjangnya Roberto Orci. Ia masuk Wesleyan University.[2]
Pada 2002, Kurtzman menikahi Samantha Counter, putri dari pengacara Nick Counter.[3]
