Alexandre Dumas, père (senior), lahir dengan nama Dumas Davy de la Pailleterie (24 Juli 1802 – 5 Desember 1870) adalah seorang penulis Prancis, dikenal dengan novel-novel historisnya yang sarat dengan petualangan. Sebagian besar novelnya, termasuk The Count of Monte Cristo dan Roman D'Artagnan, dibuat berseri, dan ia juga menulis drama, artikel majalah, dan merupakan seorang koresponden yang berpengaruh. Ia bekerja sebagai seorang juru tulis sejak tahun 1818.[1]
