The Invisible Man (atau disingkat "The I-Man") adalah serial drama televisi Amerika Serikat bergenre fiksi ilmiah yang dibintangi oleh Vincent Ventresca, Paul Ben-Victor, Eddie Jones, Shannon Kenny dan Michael McCafferty. Serial ini meraup sukses dari sebelumnya, yang melibatkan agen rahasia tak terlihat. Serial ini ditayangkan sejak 9 Juni 2000 sampai dengan 1 Februari 2002, selama dua musim.[1]
Latar belakang
Drama ini mengangkat kisah seputar Darrien Fawkes (Ventresca), seorang pencuri yang menghadapi hukuman penjara seumur hidup yang direkrut oleh organisasi mata-mata dan diberikan kekuatan tembus melalui pencangkokan khusus "Quicksilver gland" yang ditanam di kepalanya. Kelenjarnya memungkinkan Fawkes untuk mengeluarkan zat lentur cahaya yang disebut "Quicksilver" dari pori-pori dan folikel nya. Namun, kelenjar Quicksilver disabotase saat pembentukannya oleh ilmuwan Arnaud DeFehrn untuk melepaskan racun saraf yang terakumulasi dalam aliran darah dan menyebabkan rasa sakit, diikuti perilaku antisosial dan psikosis. Tuan rumah membutuhkan dosis reguler "counteragent" untuk membuatnya tetap sehat.
Serial ini ditayangkan selama dua musim, sebelum akhirnya dibatalkan karena masalah biaya dan pertengkaran internal antara Channel Fi Sci dan perusahaan induknya, USA Networks, di kemudian hari.
