Thakhek (Bahasa Laos: ທ່າແຂກ), ibukota Provinsi Khammouan, adalah sebuah kota di selatan-tengah Laos di Sungai Mekong. Jembatan Persahabatan Thailand-Laos Ketiga, yang menghubungkan Thakhek dan Nakhon Phanom, Thailand, di seberang sungai, dimulai pada 2009 dan dibuka pada 11 November 2011.
Kota ini memiliki banyak bangunan resmi bergaya vila dan toko. Pada tahun 1943, 85% populasi Thakhek adalah orang Vietnam karena kebijakan Prancis yang mendorong imigran Vietnam ke Laos.[2]
