The Byrds (/bɜːrdz/) adalah sebuah grup band rock asal Amerika yang dibentuk di Los Angeles, California pada tahun 1964.[1] Band ini mengalami beberapa perubahan lineup sepanjang keberadaannya, dengan vokalis Roger McGuinn (dikenal sebagai Jim McGuinn hingga pertengahan 1967) tetap menjadi satu-satunya anggota yang konsisten.[2] Meskipun waktu mereka sebagai salah satu grup paling populer di dunia hanya berlangsung dalam waktu singkat di pertengahan 1960-an, Byrds saat ini dianggap oleh para kritikus sebagai salah satu aksi rock paling berpengaruh pada zaman mereka.[1][3][4] Perpaduan khas mereka dari harmoni menyanyi yang jelas, dipadukan jangly dua belas senar melalui gitar milik McGuinn terus berpengaruh pada dunia rock.[1][5]
