The Four Freshmen adalah kuartet vokal pria Amerika yang memadukan aransemen jazz harmoni terbuka dengan suara grup vokal band besar The Modernaires, The Pied Pipers, dan The Mel-Tones, yang didirikan pada tradisi barbershop. The Four Freshmen dianggap sebagai band vokal karena para penyanyi mengiringi diri mereka sendiri pada gitar, trompet, bass, dan drum, di antara konfigurasi instrumental lainnya.

Grup ini didirikan pada 1948 di Indiana dan mencapai popularitas puncaknya pada pertengahan 1950-an. Anggota asli terakhir pensiun pada tahun 1993,[1] tetapi grup ini masih melakukan tur internasional dan telah merekam harmoni jazz sejak akhir 1940-an didirikan di aula Jordan School of Music di Universitas Butler di Indianapolis.[2]
