The King Steps Out adalah sebuah film komedi musikal Amerika Serikat tahun 1936 yang disutradarai oleh Josef von Sternberg dan dibintangi oleh Grace Moore, Franchot Tone dan Walter Connolly. Film tersebut berdasarkan pada tahun-tahun awal Permaisuri Elisabeth dari Austria, yang dikenal sebagai "Sisi" atau "Sissi", dan hubungan dan pernikahannya dengan Franz Joseph I dari Austria, setelah ia awalnya bertunangan dengan kakaknya Adipatni Helene dari Bayern.[1] Film tersebut berlatar belakang dari 1852 sampai 1854.
