The New Indian Express adalah surat kabar harian lembar lebar berbahasa Inggris yang diterbitkan oleh Express Publications yang berbasis Chennai. Didirikan pada tahun 1932 sebagai The Indian Express, di bawah kepemilikan P. Varadarajulu Naidu yang berbasis di Chennai. Pada tahun 1991, setelah kematian pemiliknya, Ramnath Goenka, keluarganya membagi kelompok tersebut menjadi dua perusahaan. Awalnya, kedua kelompok berbagi judul Indian Express, serta editorial dan sumber lainnya. Namun pada tanggal 13 Agustus 1999, edisi utara, yang berkantor pusat di Mumbai, mempertahankan moniker Indian Express, sementara edisi selatan menjadi The New Indian Express. Saat ini, dua surat kabar tersebut dan perusahaan adalah entitas yang terpisah. Express Publications (Madurai) Limited menerbitkan The New Indian Express dari 22 pusat di Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala dan Odisha.
