The Search adalah sebuah film Swiss-Amerika tahun 1948 garapan Fred Zinnemann yang mengisahkan kisah seorang korban selamat Auschwitz muda dan ibunya yang saling mencari satu sama lain pada masa setelah Perang Dunia II di Eropa. Film tersebut dibintangi oleh Montgomery Clift, Ivan Jandl, Jarmila Novotná dan Aline MacMahon.
Salah satu cuplikan dari film tersebut menampilkan beberapa adegan yang diambil di reruntuhan sebenarnya dari kota-kota Jerman setelah perang, yakni Ingolstadt, Nuremberg, dan Würzburg.[1]
