Thermidor
Thermidor (pengucapan bahasa Prancis: [tɛʁmidɔʁ]) adalah bulan kesebelas dalam Kalender Republik Prancis. Bulan tersebut mengambil nama dari kata Prancis thermal yang berasal dari kata Yunani "thermos" yang artinya "hangat".
Thermidor adalah bulan kedua dari bulan-bulan musim panas (mois d'été). Bulan tersebut dimulai pada 19 atau 20 Juli. Bulan tersebut berakhir pada 17 atau 18 Agustus. Bulan tersebut menyusul Messidor dan mendahului Fructidor. Pada Tahun ke-2, bulan tersebut terkadang disebut Fervidor.
Akibat peristiwa reaksi Thermidor pada 9 Thermidor Tahun II yang berujung pada pelengseran tokoh revolusioner radikal Maximilien Robespierre dan para pengikutnya pada bulan tersebut, muncul makna baru dari "Thermidor", yaitu penarikan angan-angan dan strategi yang lebih radikal dalam sebuah revolusi, khususnya saat disebabkan oleh pergantian pemimpin.
