Tiang cucur

Tiang cucur (bahasa Inggris: bowsprit) dari kapal layar adalah tiang yang memanjang ke depan dari haluan kapal. Ini memberikan titik jangkar untuk forestay, memungkinkan tiang topan untuk melangkah lebih jauh ke depan pada lambung.[1] Kata bowsprit diperkirakan berasal dari kata bahasa Jerman pertengahan-rendah bōchsprēt - böch yang berarti "haluan" dan sprēt yang berarti "tiang"".[2]
