Traktat Wuchale

Traktat Wuchale (atau Traktat Ucciale; dalam bahasa Italia Trattato di Uccialli) adalah traktat yang ditandatangani oleh Kaisar Menelik II dari Ethiopia dan Count Pietro Antonelli dari Italia di kota Wuchale, Ethiopia, pada tanggal 2 Mei 1889. Traktat ini menyerahkan wilayah-wilayah yang sebelumnya merupakan bagian dari Ethiopia, yaitu Bogos, Hamasien, Akkele Guzay, Serae, dan sebagian Tigray, yang menjadi awal berdirinya koloni Italia di Eritrea. Sebagai gantinya, Italia menjanjikan bantuan keuangan dan persediaan militer.

Sengketa mengenai Pasal 17 mengakibatkan meletusnya Perang Italia-Ethiopia Pertama. Pasal 17 versi bahasa Italia berbunyi bahwa Ethiopia diharuskan melakukan hubungan luar negeri melalui pemerintahan Italia, sehingga menjadikan Ethiopia sebagai protektorat Italia, sementara versi bahasa Amhar hanya menyebutkan bahwa Ethiopia diberi pilihan untuk berhubungan dengan negara lain melalui Italia.[1]
