Trasibasal
Trasibasal adalah batuan vulkanik dengan komposisi antara trasit dan basal. Ini menyerupai basal tetapi memiliki kandungan oksida logam alkali yang tinggi . Mineral dalam trachybasalt termasuk alkali felspar, plagioklase, olivin, klinopiroksen dan kemungkinan sejumlah kecil leusit atau analsit.[1]
Penemuan
Trasibasal melimpah di Gunung Etna[2] dan di Gunung Taylor (New Mexico).[3] Dan juga telah ditemukan di kawah Gale di planet Mars.[4]
