Gambaran proteinase Tryptase

Tryptase (EC 3.4.21.59, ) adalah serin proteinase terbanyak yang berasal dari granul sekresi dalam sel mast dan telah digunakan sebagai penanda untuk aktivasi sel mast.[1][2][3][4][5] Sel Clara yang mengandung triptase diyakini bertanggung jawab dalam pemecahan protein hemaglutinin dari virus influenza A, sehingga mengaktifkan dan menyebabkan gejala flu.[6]

Penggunaan klinis

Kadar dalam serum biasanya kurang dari 11,5 ng/mL.[7] Peningkatan kadar serum triptase terjadi pada anafilaksis dan reaksi anafilaktoid, tetapi hasil tes negatif tidak menyingkirkan kemungkinan anafilaksis. Triptase tidak terlalu meningkat pada reaksi alergi makanan, berbeda dengan anafilaksis oleh penyebab lain. Kadar triptase dalam serum juga digunakan sebagai salah satu indikasi yang menunjukkan adanya leukemia eosinofilik karena mutasi genetik yang mengakibatkan pembentukan gen fusi FIP1L1-PDGFRA atau adanya mastositosis sistemik.[8][9]
