Urogymnus merupakan genus ikan pari dalam famili Dasyatidae yang berasal dari habitat laut, air payau, dan air tawar di kawasan Indo-Pasifik dan Atlantik Timur tropis. Genus ini sebelumnya dianggap takson monotipik yang hanya mengandungi spesies U. asperrimus. Penelitian filogenetika molekuler yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2016 memindahkan beberapa spesies ikan pari dari genus Himantura ke dalam genus ini.[1]
