Venera 12
Venera 12 (Rusia: Венера-12, makna Venus 12) adalah misi luar angkasa berawak Uni Soviet untuk mengeksplorasi planet Venus. Venera 12 diluncurkan pada tanggal 14 September 1978 di 02:25:13 UTC.
Memisahkan dari panggung penerbangannya pada tanggal 19 Desember 1978, pendarat memasuki atmosfer Venus dua hari kemudian di 11,2 km/s. Selama turun, ia dipekerjakan pengereman aerodinamis diikuti oleh pengereman parasut dan berakhir dengan pengereman atmosfer. Itu membuat soft landing di permukaan pada 06:30 waktu Moskow (0330 UT) pada 21 Desember setelah waktu turun sekitar 1 jam. Kecepatan touchdown adalah 7-8 m/s. Landing koordinat 7°S 294°E.
