Mahkota heraldik vidame

Vidame (terdiri dari bahasa Latin Abad Pertengahan vicedominus[a]), adalah gelar bangsawan Prancis yang cukup langka. Seperti avoué atau advocatus, vidame awalnya adalah orang yang memimpin pasukan dan menerima royalti feodal dari Lord gerejawi yang pemegangnya adalah imam biasa atau sekuler. Dia menjalankan atas nama yang satu ini sejumlah hak feodal. Pada zaman modern, gelar vidame diintegrasikan ke dalam hierarki bangsawan yang dianggap setara dengan vicomte. Gelar-gelar vidame tertentu melekat pada feodalisme, yang lain turun-temurun. Di Savoia dan Swiss, istilah tersebut menjadi vidome, atau vidomne untuk menunjuk orang yang memegang wilayah keuskupan atau biara.
