Voznesensk (bahasa Ukraina: Вознесенськ, bahasa Rusia: Вознесенск) adalah sebuah kota yang terletak di Oblast Mykolaiv, Ukraina. Pada tahun 2021, kota ini memiliki jumlah penduduk sekitar 34.050 jiwa.

Kota ini didirikan oleh Maharani Katarina II yang Agung pada tahun 1795,[1] dan merupakan sebuah permukiman di Kegubernuran Novorossiya, Kekaisaran Rusia. Voznesensk memperoleh status kota pada tahun 1938.[1][2]

Pada awal bulan Maret tahun 2022, ketika Rusia melancarkan agresi militer terhadap Ukraina, berkecamuk pertempuran di kota ini yang terkait dengan pertempuran di Mykolaiv.[3][4] Pada 2 Maret, pasukan Rusia dikalahkan oleh Ukraina di kota ini.[5][a][7] Pasukan Ukraina dengan bantuan dari warga setempat menghancurkan jembatan yang strategis dan menghambat upaya Rusia untuk mencapai kota Odesa dan pembangkit listrik tenaga nuklir Ukraina Selatan.[8]

  1. ^ On 2–3 March 2022 a Russian battalion tactical group (BTG) was routed by Ukrainian troops and volunteers; the local residents of Voznesensk constructed defenses to funnel BTG vehicles into locations where they could be destroyed in structured ambushes; Russian troops abandoned nearly two-thirds of their tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, multiple-rocket launchers and trucks in Voznesensk.[5][6]
