When You're Strange adalah film dokumenter mengenai kehidupan Jim Morrison, vokalis utama band The Doors. Film ini ditulis dan disutradarai oleh Tom DiCillo.[1]
Kibordis The Doors Ray Manzarek menyatakan bahwa film ini mengisahkan hal-hal nyata mengenai The Doors,[1][2] dan bahwa film ini akan menjadi "anti-Oliver Stone".[1][2] Hal ini berkenaan dengan film The Doors tahun 1991 arahan sutradara Oliver Stone yang mendapat banyak kritik dari para penggemar The Doors.
Film ini pertama kali diputar di Festival Film Sundance pada 17 Januari 2009 [3] dan mendapatkan apresiasi yang positif tetapi narasinya dianggap terlalu monoton sehingga pada versi selanjutnya naratornya adalah Johnny Depp.
